MERIDEN TAXPAYERS NOTICE Water Bills and Sewer User Fees are due June 1, 2018 and payable until July 2, 2018 without penalty. Bills paid after July 2, 2018 shall be charged interest at the rate of 1 % per month from the due date. The minimum interest rate is 3%; the minimum interest charge is $2.00 (per service). Failure to receive a bill does not negate the charges, interest, or fees. Liens will be filed for unpaid Water Bills and Sewer User Fees as of February 15, 2019. The lien fees are $24.00 per service. The City of Meriden conducts a strict Water Shut-Off program. It is urged that you use the envelope provided with your bill when paying by check or money order. If you use an on-line bill pay service, please send payment directly to the Collector at the address listed below. If you choose to pay in person, please come to the Office of the Tax Collector, City Hall, 142 E Main St, Room 117, Me- riden, which is open Monday through Friday from 8 am until 5 pm, and 1st & 3rd Mondays of each month from 8 am until 7 pm.
